REPORT: UN’s Kaag: Lebanon was not mentioned in Ban Ki Moon’s report

United Nations Special Coordinator Sigrid Kaag declared Friday that the report issued by the United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki Moon regarding the Syrian refugees is a general report and he did not mention Lebanon in it, adding that Ban Ki Moon is well aware that the Lebanese Constitution does not allow resettlement.

Following her meeting with Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil at the Foreign Ministry, Kaag said that the solution for the Syrian refugee crisis in Lebanon can only be achieved through a political solution for the Syrian war and when the condition are productive for their return.
