General Directorate of General Security arrested Friday a Syrian national on suspicion of his affiliation to a terrorist group.
The man, Aa.M., confessed during investigations with him that he contacted a terrorist group leader, identified as M.M., for the purpose of providing him with logistic support.
He also helped smuggle people and facilitate their entry to Syria to join the group and fight in its ranks.
The detainee was referred to the competent judiciary and investigations are underway to arrest his accomplices.
