MP Ibrahim Kanaan filed a lawsuit against Al-Joumhouria News Corp -publisher of Al Joumhouria" Newspaper- , its Publisher, Owner and General Manager Elias Michel Al-Mur, Editor Georges Soulage, Chief Editor Tarek Tarshishi, and the writers of the both articles published in the newspapers 1543rd issue for Libel and Slander .
