An inmate identified as Fadi Akkoush passed away Friday in the Roumieh prison after suffering a heart attack.
Consequently, the prisoners in Bloc B staged a sit-in to protest his death, which led to the intervention of Security Forces to prevent riots.
Akkoush was apprehended for his involvement in Bhanin incidents, where he fought the Lebanese army alongside Sheikh Khaled Hoblos.
