EDL contract workers storm office of company’s chief

Electricite Du Liban contract workers broke Friday into the office of the company’s head in Beirut, threatening to burn it with tires.

EDL released a statement saying that protesters refused to leave the 13^th floor office despite calls from Internal Security Forces to do so.

"The electricity company condemns these actions, and assures that the administration has explained to them their situation without giving false promises," the statement added.

The employees called on the company to grant them full time employment.
