Kanaan calls for stopping the assaults on EDL facilities

Change and Reform bloc MP Ibrahim Kanaan called on the concerned courts and the Ministry of Interiro to stop the assaults on the Electricite Du Liban “immediately.”

 

Kanaan noted that the demands of “the EDL contract workers might be rightful but they do not have the right to control a public facility,” adding that the safety of public institutions and the employees is a red light.”

 

Earlier, EDL contract workers broke into the office of the company’s head in Beirut, threatening to burn it with tires.

 

The employees called on the company to grant them full time employment.
