The Israeli army seeks to establish a special liaison unit to manage its growing contacts with Syrians living across Israel's northeastern border.
The unit is set to work from the Golan Heights, to replace all the units established since the start of the Syrian war.
This development raised many question marks on whether Israel is seeking a direct intervention in Syria to continue its interference in Lebanon.
