The Future bloc said Tuesday that “the success in the municipal elections should motivate the political forces to implement the Lebanese law and head to electing a president next Thursday."
In a statement published after the bloc’s weekly meeting, the bloc praised Tripoli for freely choosing a municipal council that meets its people’s wants.
The statement stated that “Hezbollah’s obstructing position on the presidential elections by its coordinating with the Free Patriotic Movement, while attempting to impose a president upon Lebanon under false pretenses and empowered by unlawful weapons, is a continuous crime against Lebanon and the Lebanese people, who have expressed their rejection to this obstruction.
