REPORT: Mercury streams down Lebanon’s Bardawni River

Lebanon’s Bardawni River has turned whitish as residues of mercury and other chemicals layered its pure water, the Agricultural Research Lab said.

The river, which is located in the Lebanese city of Bekaa is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the city, but has unfortunately turned into a stream for sewage and remnants of Kaa el-Rim factories.
