Gemayel announces resignation of two Kataeb Party minsters
Kataeb Party chief MP Sami Gemayel announced Tuesday the resignation of his party from Cabinet, saying that “Lebanon needs a positive shock.”
 
Gemayel stated that Labor Minister Sejaan Azzi and Economy Minister Alain Hakim resigned from the government.
 
In a press conference, the lawmaker said “Our battle is not only against the government's performance, but also against the political class, which failed to work for the country’s interest.”
 
Earlier today, he told LBCI that “the party will not be a false witness to what is currently happening inside the government.”
