Nasrallah says 26 party fighters killed in Aleppo in June
Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah delivered on Friday a televised speech marking 40 days since the death of top Hezbollah commander Mustafa Badreddine.

In his speech, Nasrallah praised Badreddine, saying that he played a key role in the release of the party's captives from Israeli prisons.

Last month, Hezbollah said its top military commander was killed in Syria by Sunni Islamist artillery fire and not by an Israeli air strike as one member of the Shi'ite movement had previously said.

"Investigations have showed that the explosion, which targeted one of our bases near Damascus International Airport, and which led to the martyrdom of commander Mustafa Badreddine, was the result of artillery bombardment carried out by takfiri (hardline Sunni) groups in the area," Hezbollah said in a statement.

Nasrallah also noted that the armed group is "helping the Syrians in Syria, the Iraqis in Iraq and defending Lebanon as well and its security, future and destiny."

"We are facing a new wave of projects of war against Syria," Nasrallah added.

He announced that 26 party fighters have been killed in Aleppo this month alone, adding that one Hezbollah fighter is missing, and another one has been captured by militants.

He also noted that 617 militants were killed, about 800 were injured in the fighting and about 80 of the militants' tanks were destroyed.

The Shi'ite Muslim group is fighting in Syria, backing President Bashar al-Assad against a range of Sunni groups including Islamic State and the al Qaeda-affiliated Nusra Front.

As for the US sanctions, Nasrallah said that the party categorically rejects the US sanctions law, adding that Hezbollah's budget and funds "come directly from the Islamic Republic of Iran.

"As long as Iran has money we will have money," he added.

As for Iraq, Nasrallah stressed that without the assistance of Hezbollah, Iran, Iran's Revolutionary Guards and other sides, the Islamic State group would have reached the city of Baghdad.

Hezbollah leader also said that some Arab TV channels "fight alongside IS" and defends it through incitement and the fabrication of news.

On another note, Nasrallah declared that whoever randomly shoots in the air on different occasions will be dismissed and expelled from the party.

Many have died or wounded in Lebanon by stray bullets from celebratory gunfire, while several MPs proposed a draft law to penalize the random shooting.
