The Mufti of the Republic Sheikh Abdel Latif Darian said Wednesday the great affliction is the one faced by the Arab countries where the entities established to ensure security and safety have become the cause for killing, displacement, starvation and extermination.
“We have been terrified over the past few days by terrorist attacks in the village of al-Qaa,” he said, stressing the need to have confidence in the Lebanese army and the security forces.
During his speech delivered on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr at Mohammad al-Amin Mosque, the mufti stressed that salef-security cannot be established in Lebanon, noting that the legitimate armed forced and other security apparatuses are capable of protecting the country and the citizens.
“Security stability and political agreement can enhance safety,” he pointed out.
