Lebanese-Australian man Bassam Raad, 34, briefly faced an out-of-sessions court hearing on Wednesday night.
He was accused of murdering his 27-year-old wife, Zeinab Taleb, and intentionally causing serious injuries to his three children aged two, four and six.
The body of his wife was found wrapped in a quilt at a tennis center car park in Dallas, 18km north of Melbourne, on June17.
