REPORT: Tripoli hosts kite boarding race from Mina to the Rabbits Island

Kiteboarding Twist Association in cooperation with Skydive Dubai organized a kite surfing race from Tripoli’s Mina towards the Rabbits Island which is located around 5.5 kilometers off the shore of Tripoli.

The event’s organizer Alaa Dandashly said that the geographical location of the beach is highly appropriate for such sports, noting that the winds in this region are active during 11 months a year.

He added that there are 11 sand beaches along the coast of the Mina ready to become destinations for world professionals and schools teaching this type of sport, adding that the Mina can easily become the kite surfing capital of the world.
