Judge issues two indictments against terror suspects

Military Investigative Judge Fadi Sawwan issued Monday an indictment against the Lebanese national Mustafa Mrad, accusing him of seeking to join the ranks of the Islamic State and adopting its convictions.

However, Mrad was detained before departing Lebanon.

The judge issued another indictment against a Syrian identified as Hussein al-Abbas, accusing him of belonging to IS in the northeastern border town of Arsal and working at the behest of the group to carry out terror acts.

The arrestees were referred to the Military Tribunal.
