REPORT: IS, Nusra Front plan plots against Lebanese army and Hezbollah in Ain al-Helweh

The Islamic State and al-Nusra Front have plotted to accuse the Lebanese Armed Forces and Hezbollah of planning a military operation in Ain al-Helweh refugee camp, where the extremists intend to create panic and fear among the camp’s residents, and put an end to all positive steps taking place such as handing over fugitives to the army Intelligence.

Accordingly, the terrorist groups sent instructions to the extremist groups inside the camp regarding the claimed battle. These instructions include blocking the coastal road between Beirut and Sidon by deploying snipers or small armed groups carrying out operations along the road to cut supply lines from the Lebanese army and Hezbollah; as well as carrying out attacks against the Lebanese army in the vicinity of the camp, mainly in the city of Sidon.
