EDL contract worker goes on hunger strike

Rabih al-Sayegh, an Electricite du Liban contract worker, went on a hunger strike Tuesday to press the company to meet the demands of the employees.

EDL contract workers in Beirut, Bekaa and South Lebanon held a protest on Monday to pressure service providers to meet their longstanding demands to become full-time employees.

Amer Mousa, a protester in Beirut tried to burn himself alive before EDL's building.

51 contract workers staged a sit-in before EDL’s center in Bekaa, which led to the shutdown of the KVA center.

In Tyre, protesters held the protest inside the building, while other workers carried out their duties as usual.
