A group of Akkar residents staged a symbolic sit-in outside Halba governmental Serail, to protest against the permanent power outage, calling for granting Akkar its rightful share of development projects.
The protesters said that they will escalate their movements should the authorities turn a deaf ear to their demands, calling on the Prime Minister Tammam Salam to save the governorate from oppression and the issues accompanying power cuts.
