Civil Defense volunteers staged Sunday a 10-minute sit-in at the entrance of the city of Baalbek to call for the implementation of a decision to grant them full-time employment.
A bill to make Civil Defense volunteers full-time employees was approved by the Cabinet around five months ago after they held several movements across the country.
“The volunteers have resumed their protests to confirm that the Cabinet's decision was fictitious,” a spokesman for the protesters said, calling upon the concerned sides to conclude the issue.
