Science Confirms What We Already Know: People Who Post Gym Pics On Facebook Are Massive Narcissists
A new study by Brunel University London has shown that people who post about their diet, workout and achievements are ‘typically narcissists’.

Psychologists at the university collected information from 555 Facebook users, to examine the personality traits and motives that influenced what they chose to write in their status.

The study found that narcissists posted more status updates about their diet and workout routine.

They were also more likely to update more frequently about their achievements, due to the fact they’re motivated by the need for attention and validation.

However, psychology lecturer Dr Tara Marshall reckons we might be being a bit two-faced with our willingness to hit the ‘like’ button.

‘Although our results suggest that narcissists’ bragging pays off because they receive more likes and comments, it could be that their Facebook friends politely offer support while secretly disliking such egotistical displays,’ she said.
