Last month, the Lebanese state and Palestinian factions agreed to encourage wanted suspects to turn themselves over, with assurances that they would get fair trials.
This led nearly a dozen suspected militants to hand themselves in, including the son of a prominent commander with the al-Qaeda-linked Abdallah Azzam Brigades.
Abdallah Toufic Taha surrendered to Lebanese authorities Monday near the Sidon Public Hospital.
