REPORT: Mufti urges government to reveal perpetrators of Tripoli bombings

North Lebanon Mufti Malek al-Shaar called Thursday for justice for Tripoli attacks, three years after the mosque twin bombings.

At a ceremony held to mark the attacks, which killed more than 40 people, Mufti al-Shaar urged the Lebanese government to reveal the truth and the perpetrators behind “this ugly crime.”

On August 23, 2013, two car bombs detonated outside the al-Taqwa and al-Salam mosques in Tripoli at around the same time.

At least 42 people were killed, and more than 400 wounded in the attacks.
