Lebanese soldiers open fire at man refusing to stop at Arsal checkpoint

Lebanese soldiers opened fire Thursday at a driver who refused to stop at an army checkpoint in the northeastern border town of Arsal.

The Syrian man refused to park his car for inspection at an army checkpoint in the Ras al-Sarj hill, forcing soldiers to shoot at his car.

He was targeted after he tried to jump from the car, in an attempt to escape.
