Head of Parliament’s Media and Telecommunications Committee MP Hassan Fadlallah said on Monday that discussions focused on the forthcoming stage of Lebanon’s state-run TV station Tele Liban (TL) which, according to him, is the only media institution that does not have financing problems.
Fadlallah’s remarks came following a session that was held today at the Parliament in the presence of related ministers and the Council for Development and Reconstruction.
“The Lebanese State finances TL,” Fadlallah said.
For his part, Information Minister Ramzi Jreij called for appointing a new board of directors for TL in order for it to put a new strategy and undertake an overhaul at the station.
