Electricité Du Liban declared that on Wednesday (August 31), at around 10:00 am, a failure has been detected at the power generator plant in the town of Batha in Keserwan.

The company added in a statement that the repair works are expected to last at least three days and while it has been impossible to guarantee power supply from another source; therefore, a power cut will affect a number of regions including Sahel Alma, Bkerke, Ghosta and Haret Sakher, until the repair works end.

The statement noted that EDL’s technicians are deploying efforts in order to repair the damage and restore normal supply as soon as possible.
