Tourism Minister Michel Faraon said Saturday that in the absence of the ministers of the Free Patriotic Movement, Kataeb and Tashnag from the latest cabinet session, the meeting should have been postponed without taking any decision.
In a statement to LBCI’s Nharkom Said, the minister said that the Kataeb party is a very essential component, noting that there was a way to avoid the party’s resignation from the government if the session had been adjourned and dialogue had been held with the party’s representatives.
On another note, Faraon said that visiting head of the Change and Reform bloc MP Michel Aoun is a normal step, pointing out that part of the crisis is related to the security appointments, while the other part concerns the governmental performance in general.
“We stand before a series of crises that are similar to last year’s,” he said.
