Member of the Change and Reform bloc MP Alian Aoun said Sunday that Hezbollah’s position from the cabinet and the current situation reflects its efforts to connect between the Free Patriotic Movement’s demands regarding the Christians’ situation inside the government and the Shiite party’s keenness on the cabinet’s survival.
In a statement to LBCI’s Nharkom Said, MP Aoun stressed that they did not willingly boycott the cabinet, noting that the council has not been carrying out its duties, but instead working selectively, leading to an accumulation of issues.
“The only solution lies in electing a new president and passing a new electoral law,” he stated, explaining that the failure to pass a new electoral law is not related to the FMP.
