A group of young men and women from Baalbek launched a civil campaign against security chaos, with the participation of civil society representatives, physicians, mayors, lawyers and unions of commercial shop owners.
In a press conference, the organizers issued a petition “to reject security chaos” to be signed by the residents of Baalbek within the upcoming few weeks in order to submit it before the governor and interior minister, as well as the Lebanese army command, calling on the authorities to implement strict measures to impose security and safety across the city so that the citizens can have a peaceful life and promote economic growth.
