Law students at the Lebanese University staged a sit-in Monday at the campus, after they failed to reach an agreement over the new LMD credit system with the dean of the LU Law Faculty and the directors of the faculty’s branches.
The main issue lies in the fact that the new academic system, which entered into effect on Monday, determines the Bachelor degree with three years of study, while Beirut Bar Association membership requires four university years to be eligible to apply.
