Open ended strike kicks off in Ain el-Helweh
An open-ended strike kicked off on Tuesday inside the Ain el-Helweh refugee camp to protest the killing of the Palestinian national Simon Tahawho was killed Monday night in the al-Fawqani street.

The strike came upon the call of the Palestinian popular committees, in rejection of continual killings inside the camp, as well as in solidarity with the family and relatives of the slain.

Protesters indicated that their strike would not end "before perpetrators are uncovered and punished."

The camp is home to about 50,000 refugees who live in dire conditions.
