Palestinians from Syrian refugee camps carried out Tuesday a sit-in outside UNRWA’s offices in the Beddawi refugee camp near the northern city of Tripoli.
The protesters demanded the agency to set up an inclusive emergency plan, which includes an increased assistance in terms of rental, hospitalization and food.
They also expressed their rejection of the agency's postponement of September assistance payments to October.
This protest is one of the movements led by displaced Palestinians from Syrian refugee camps against UNRWA’s aid reduction policy.
