The several achievements of former Israeli president Shimon Peres in turning Israel into a nuclear arsenal and a great economic power, were paralleled with several failures in promoting the policies of war, aggression and discrimination.
From the nuclear plants in Dimona to the Qana massacres in Lebanon, known as Operation Grapes of Wrath, and the Oslo Accords as well as the attempts towards peace deals, Shimon Peres died at 93 years of age, 75 years of which he spent practicing politics. He crowned his political life with a Nobel Peace Prize together with Yitzhak Rabin and Yasser Arafat.
Peres, who was behind many wars, always bragged of building a strong Israel capable of making peace.
