Wahhab to LBCI: If Saudi Arabia turns a blind eye to possibility of Hariri nominating Aoun, the latter will be elected soon

Arab Tawhid Party chief Wiam Wahhab stressed Thursday that former Prime Minister Saad Hariri has been informing all leaders during his visits that he will support the nomination of MP Michel Aoun.

In a statement to LBCI’s Nharkom Said, the former minister added that “if Saudi Arabia continues to ignore the possibility of Hariri nominating Aoun for the presidency, the latter will be elected soon,” noting however, that if the kingdom raises a red card against such a proposal, Hariri will go back on his decision.

In the same context, Wahhad pointed out that when Hariri approved of Aoun, the latter will meet with Speaker Nabih Berri under the sponsorship of Hezbollah to agree upon the disputed matters.
