Head of the Lebanese Farmers' Association, Antoine al-Howayek issued a statement on Thursday calling on all the Lebanese farmers “to join the apple farmers in their day of rage and participate in the nationwide sit-ins that will be held on the first of October.”
He also warned the cabinet and the concerned ministers against any false promises or delay in implementing the decision to compensate for the farmers.
Al-Howayek said that sit-ins will be held in the following regions: Fneideq, Jobbet Bcharri, Tannourine, Akoura, Kfarzebian, Baskenta, Tarshish, al-Barouk and Jezzine.
