Two men were killed and another one injured in a
car accident on Saturday after their car crashed into a concrete sidewall on
the Deniyeh-Tripoli road.
The bodies of the victims, identified as Hisham Mohammad and Omar al-Arab, were
transferred to the Deniyeh Public Hospital while their funeral ceremonies are
expected to be held in their hometowns following Saturday’s noon prayers.
Separately, a car turned over on the Amchit-Beirut
highway after a vehicle from behind collided with it. Accordingly, the car slid
off the road, settling in an orchard and caught fire.
The accident injured the female passenger while the
man managed to get out of the car before it was completely burnt.
The Civil Defense rushed to the scene to extinguish
the fire while the Red Cross inspected the injured woman.
