“We call on the government to work hard on the pressing issues burdening the Lebanese people,” Nasrallah said in a speech he delivered from Beirut’s southern suburb to mark Shi'ite Islam's annual Ashura commemorations.
On another note, Nasrallah announced that some sides wanted to financially and economically blockade the country.
As for Syria, Hezbollah leader said, “We will continue to bear the responsibility in Syria. It is where your sons and husbands are, defending the region’s peoples, Palestine and the Resistance.”
Speaking about the war in Yemen, he considered that “Saudi Arabia's battles in Sanaa were to express the hatred of the Saudi regime against Yemen.”
“The Saud family will be defeated in the war against Yemen. Saudi Arabia and America’s killing machine will be totally destroyed,” he added.
Large sections of his address were spent attacking Sunni power Saudi Arabia, the main regional rival of Iran, mostly over its military campaign in Yemen.
The kingdom, which backs Syrian rebels, earlier this year marshalled other Arab states to denounce Hezbollah as a terrorist group, part of Riyadh's efforts to contain Iran's influence and reduce its ability to support Assad.
Commenting on Iraq, Nasrallah disclosed that Americans wanted to open a route from Mosul to Syria, adding that they were using the Islamic State to carry out terror acts in Iraq.
“The true victory is destroying the terrorist group, not stacking it in Syria,” he pointed out.
