The eradication of poverty is a main goal signed by 166 countries including Lebanon.
The latest official statistics on poverty conducted in 2011-2012 showed that 27% of the Lebanese people lived in poverty, but the number increased without any doubt after the breakout of the Syrian war and the influx of Syrian refugees into Lebanon.
