Future bloc: Any delay in electing a president would subject the country to bigger risks
The Future bloc said on Tuesday that the election of a new president should be the top priority of all MPs and political powers.

The bloc’s remarks were made following its weekly meeting that was presided by Future Movement head former Prime Minister Saad Hariri.

“Any further delay in electing a president would subject the country to bigger risks at all levels,” the bloc added.

Lebanon has been plunged into a presidential vacuum since the mandate of Michel Sleiman ended in May 2014 and Hezbollah, Aoun's Change and Reform bloc and some of their allies have been boycotting the parliamentary sessions tasked to elect a new president, stripping them of the needed quorum.
