General Security arrests 8 suspects planning suicide attacks
The Lebanese General Security announced on Thursday the arrest of eight terror suspects who were reportedly preparing a series of suicide attacks in Lebanon.
In a statement, General Security said it arrested a cell formed of eight Syrian nationals identified only by their initials as: M.N., Kh.N., H.Kh., A.W., M.N., M.Sh., A.N., and R.N.
They were reportedly planning to carry out attacks against cafes and restaurants in touristic regions, as well as United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon patrols along the border.
They were all referred to the concerned Judiciary, adding that security forces are continuing efforts to arrest other militants linked to these attacks to bring them to justice.
