Advisor to former PM Saad Hariri, former MP Ghattas Khoury stressed that the presidential settlement that lead to the election of President Michel Aoun is a victory for the country and was based on an agreement between the Lebanese, stressing that “there is no loss or profit for anyone in what happened.”
In a statement to LBCI’s Nharkom Said, Khoury described the settlement as “honorable,” noting that the Future Movement did not abandon any of its principles.
“The loss lies in being dragged into a civil war,” he stated.
On another note, Khoury said that MP Ahmad Fatfat will not be with the Future bloc during the parliamentary consultations.
