REPORT: Qatari FM tours Lebanese officials

The Qatari Foreign Minister congratulated on Wednesday President Michel Aoun on his election and invited him to visit Qatar.

 

"Qatar stands by the Lebanese people and will not back down on its support," Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani tsaid after meeting with Aoun at the Baabda Palace.
The diplomat arrived in Beirut at 3:00 p.m. on an official visit to show support to Lebanon's recent political breakthrough.

 

 Later, he headed to Ain el-Tineh where he held talks with Speaker Nabih Berri.
