MP Boutros Harb’s media office said on Friday that the photo of Harb published by As-Safir daily and that was taken during his reception of U.S. official Jeffrey Fetlman is a proof of the campaign launched by March 8 against March 14.  

The statement added that Harb has always supported the freedom of press and expression, which prompted him to side, as MP and lawyer, with media outlets which some has tried to close, oppress, or target their personnel.

Earlier in the day, Harb scoffed at the "caricature" in which he was portrayed bowing to Feltman, explaining that he was welcoming the guest and pointing out the seat that he will take.

“We bow only to God; we will not renounce out convictions and dignity”, he told Voice of Lebanon.
