Industry Minister Hussein Hajj Hassan stressed that efforts will continue to boost the Lebanese export movement and reduce the imports, while increasing the domestic consumption of the national production and engaging in modern industries of technology and electronics.
During his visit to Austria to partake in the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) meetings, Hajj Hassan praised the high level of cooperation with the international organization in Vienna and requested funds for industrial projects.
However, the minister slammed the International Community’s failure to fulfill its promises to help Lebanon deal with the refugee crisis.
The minister also informed the attendees of the executive plan for 2016 and 2017 and the strategic plan 2016-2020 drafted by the ministry.
