The temperature dropped significantly in Donniyeh on Saturday, due to the cold wave hitting Lebanon and the region.
In this regard, citizens living in the mountainous regions located at more than 1500 meters above sea levels said that they felt the cold wave since the early morning hours, when the temperature hit zero degrees, causing the formation of a layer of ice on the roads preventing passage in the early hours.
The cold weather froze the lakes in the highlands all the way to Qorner al-Sawda, where ice started to form.
