Caretaker Interior Minister Nouhad al-Mashnouq approved a decision issued by the municipality of Beirut to grant LBP 5.4 million to the residents of the apartments of the building in danger of collapse in the region Mseitbeh, so they can find another residence.
In a series of tweets he posted, the minister said that he referred the case to the High Relief Committee.
Upon the directions from Prime Minister-designate Saad Hariri, the head of the High Relief Committee, Brigadier Mohammad Kheir, accompanied by Beirut mayor Jamal Itani visited the building in question in Mseitbeh, after they asked the residents to evacuate.
