Kataeb party calls for “burying” the 1960 electoral law
The Kataeb party condemned on Monday the attack carried out against the army position in the town of Beqaa Sifrin in Dinnieh, adding that the attack falls under the army’s battle against terrorism.
Unknown gunmen opened fire on Sunday overnight at an army position in in the Bqaa Sifrin town in Dinnieh.

Two soldiers were initially wounded in the shooting, but one of the soldiers had succumbed to his wounds.

On another note, the party called for “burying” the 1960 electoral law under which the last parliamentary elections were held in 2009, as it slammed what it called the “absurd conflict” over cabinet shares.
The party called for devising a new electoral law that ensures apt representation for the Lebanese people.
