A full video of the
meeting between Feltman and March 14 figures at Harb’s residence revealed that
the latter, after greeting the U.S. official, invited him to take seat, and at
that particular moment, the photographer took his famous picture.
As-Safir daily had
published on Friday a photo portraying MP Boutros Harb bowing to U.S. official
Jeffrey Feltman.
In turn, after publishing
the response of Harb’s media office which denounced the photo as “blatant
defamation”, As-Safir explained that the decision to publish the photo stems
from pure professional motivations given that the picture was considered “a
unique snapshot”. The daily also confirmed that the intention was neither to defame
MP harb nor to do him harm.
