REPORT: Transportation unions continue movements

The transportation unions stressed Thursday that they will continue their strikes and demonstrations until their demands are met, including the abolishment of the mechanical inspection tender and return it to the state’s authority.

For his part, head of public drivers’ union Bassam Tleis stressed that the next move will be a sit-in accompanied by closing the Car Registration Authority across the Lebanese regions.

Tleis was speaking from outside the Interior Ministry where the transportation unions held a central protest after the gathering and road blocking in various regions.
