Hariri visits Berri, voices optimism on Cabinet formation

Prime Minister-designate Saad Hariri visited on Friday Speaker Nabih Berri in Ain el-Tineh and briefed him over the latest developments in the formation of the new government.

 

The meeting was attended by Hariri’s chief of staff, Nader Hariri and Finance Minister Ali Hassan Khalil.

 

Sources said that the meeting aimed at Berri’s briefing Hariri over his suggested ministerial portfolios.

 

The same sources also added that breakthrough in the formation process might happen during the next 48 hours.

 

Following the meeting, Hariri said that the atmosphere is positive, adding that Berri is keen on the swift formation of the new cabinet.
