Cabinet approves draft of ministerial statement
The cabinet approved on Saturday a draft of the ministerial statement amid reservations made by the Lebanese Forces ministers and Minister of the planning affairs Michel Pharaon on the “role of the resistance” clause.

The session was held at the Baabda Presidential Palace whereby President Michel Aoun expressed hopes that the work of the cabinet would be productive and fast.

He also voiced hopes that the vote of confidence would be held before the end of the year.

Aoun stressed however the importance of working on  a new vote law in order to hold the parliament elections on their due time.

This as Speaker Nabih Berri called for holding a session next week to discuss the ministerial statement.

Prior to the session, a meeting was held between Aoun and Prime Minister Saad Hariri.
